That blue is not an accident.
Afghanite comes from one place in the world — the Badakhshan province of Afghanistan, from the same ancient lapis lazuli mines that have been worked for centuries. It wasn’t discovered until 1968, and gem-quality material didn’t exist until 2018. This stone is genuinely rare.
The color shifts depending on the light — deep navy one moment, vivid sky blue the next. The white inclusions move through it like stars. Galaxy felt like the right name.
Set in a simple bezel on a triple half-round sterling silver band — substantial enough to anchor the stone without competing with it.
